Shannon was born and raised in Amherst, Nova Scotia, but spent her summers boating with her family on the Saint John (Wolastoq) River. She studied history, French, and Spanish during her undergraduate degree, and retains a love of all three. During her degrees, she received the Francis M. McLaughlin Scholarship, the Mabel French Scholarship, and the NB Law Foundation Entrance Scholarship.
While studying law, Shannon worked as a research assistant in the law faculty and with the P-SEC Research Group. She was an Associate Editor of the UNB Law Journal and volunteered with the Public Legal Education & Information Service of New Brunswick (PLEIS) through Pro Bono Students Canada. She was also the Co-Founder and Co-Chair of UNB Law’s French Law Association.
Shannon began her articling with Mosher Chedore in May of 2020 and was happy to continue with the firm after her call to the bar in June 2021.
Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys spending time with friends and family, boating, and reading historical fiction and foreign-language novels. She resides in Saint John with her two rescue cats.
